At St. Joseph’s Indian School, we believe learning should be an adventure, not a chore. That’s why this year’s seventh and eighth graders are taking a dynamic lineup of exploratory courses designed to spark creativity, build confidence and maybe even uncover lifelong passions.

These once-a-week classes rotate each quarter, allowing students to try something new every few months. For those who love gaming and strategy, our Esports course runs all semester long, offering a consistent space to build teamwork and digital skills. In 1965, 12-year-old Susan Paige held something magical in her hands — a glow-in-the-dark rosary mailed to her from St. Joseph’s Indian School. It wasn’t just a gift, it was a spark.

With only babysitting money to her name, she sent back a single dollar. Back then, she could have used it to buy two tickets to a movie, a deluxe ice cream sundae with whipped cream and a cherry on top, or even a brand-new Slinky or yo-yo from the dime store.

And yet, it lights our world, gives us life and helps us see everything. In many ways, God is like the sun. He is holy, radiant and perfect, far too powerful for our human eyes to look directly at.
