St. Joseph’s Indian School Earns Platinum Seal of Transparency for Three Years Running

Dedication to transparency and stewardship has led St. Joseph’s Indian School to earn the Platinum Seal of Transparency (once again!) from Candid/Guidestar.

For the third consecutive year, St. Joseph’s Indian School has earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid/GuideStar, the highest level of recognition available to nonprofits. This honor reflects our school’s deep commitment to transparency, accountability and responsible stewardship — values that have guided our mission for nearly 100 years.

Candid’s Platinum Seal is awarded to nonprofits that publicly share comprehensive information about their programs, outcomes, finances and impact. It is the gold standard (or rather, platinum standard!) for donor trust. St. Joseph’s has consistently met this rigorous benchmark by providing clear, accessible data about:

  • Student programs and services.
  • Success measures and outcomes.
  • Financial stewardship and use of donor gifts.
  • Organizational leadership and governance.

Candid describes Platinum as its highest possible rating, reserved for organizations that go above and beyond in transparency.

“Earning the Platinum Seal for a third year affirms something we take very seriously — the responsibility to steward every gift with integrity. Our donors place tremendous trust in us, and we work hard every day to honor that trust through transparency, accountability and a mission‑first mindset,” said Jenny, CEO of St. Joseph’s Indian School.

For friends and supporters of St. Joseph’s Indian School, the Platinum Seal is more than a badge. It’s reassurance. It means donors can trust:

  • Their gifts are used responsibly and effectively.
  • The school measures and shares real impact.
  • Leadership is accountable.
  • The organization is committed to continuous improvement.

As St. Joseph’s continues to grow its programs, expand student opportunities and strengthen family partnerships, our commitment to transparency remains unwavering. The Platinum Seal is both a recognition of past work and a promise for the future.

To every donor and friend who stands with the Lakota children, philámayayethank you. Your trust fuels this mission.

At St. Joseph's Indian School, our privately-funded programs for Lakota (Sioux) children in need have evolved over 90 years of family partnership, experience and education. Because of generous friends who share tax-deductible donations, Native American youth receive a safe, stable home life; individual counseling and guidance; carefully planned curriculum based on Lakota culture and individual student needs and tools to help build confidence, boost self-esteem and improve cultural awareness. All of this helps children to live a bright, productive, possibility-filled future.
