School staff hosted an ice cream social for Melody, one of our title teachers. Due to recurrent health issues, Melody won’t be returning this year. She was a big support to me as we simultaneously battled our respective cancers. I, and many of our staff, will redouble our efforts at prayer for her healing.
This evening our staff and their families celebrated our annual back to school picnic in the evening. The dining hall staff prepared some delicious treats, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. I roamed from table to table, catching up with some staff I hadn’t seen since school let out last May. Some of the families I only see on special occasions. I met a couple of spouses of new staff for the first time and found out a little about each of them.
